Our interactive map is constantly growing with new fishermen, fishmongers and merchants from across the country. Each week we will feature some of the new entries to the site, telling the story of the methods they use to catch, prepare and sell their seafood and the range of species available across the UK.
Beer Fisheries, Seahill, Seaton, Devon, England
Marc and Leanne are now the proud owners of Beer Fisheries Ltd, a family business that has been supplying fresh local fish from their shop, on Beer beach for the last 45 years. The family fishing boat is skippered by Marc’s Father, Jim, who has been fishing since he could walk. He works various types of fishing gear from his 21 foot boat, Bess ,which means he provides the very finest quality, as it only has to travel 100 meters from the shore line to our shop door.
Jim fishes within the Lyme Bay Fisheries & Conservation Reserve, a collaborative project between fishermen and conservationists that sees a fishermen sign up to a voluntary code of conduct that ensures they fish in ways that protect the marine habitat and keep local stocks at sustainable levels. Mixed 5kg boxes of fish caught within the reserve can be ordered online while smaller boxes, made up of exclusively line caught fish from local fisherman Bob, are also available.

Marie-Louise Shellfish, Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales
