This week's fishermen and fishmongers: 22nd June

Our interactive map is constantly growing with new fishermen, fishmongers and merchants from across the country. Each week we will feature some of the new entries to the site, telling the story of the methods they use to catch, prepare and sell their seafood and the range of species available across the UK.

Crystal Tide Fresh Fish, Ardglass, Northern Ireland
Fishing from Ardglass Harbour, Crystal Tide provide fresh fish, prawns and langoustines sold direct to the public. With whole prawns and langoustine tails sold by the kilo, as well as a range of fresh fish, individually priced depending on the day’s fishing you can be sure to get some of the freshest seafood the Irish sea has to offer.
Delivering direct to the door all around the surrounding area, orders can be placed via whatsapp or direct through their facebook page.
 

J Pieroni & Sons, Ayr, Scotland
J Pieroni & Sons is a family run business, third generation in fact and operates from a fish processing unit on Peebles St in Ayr. They are fully committed to supporting local fishermen and working together with them and other industry stakeholders to ensure a bright sustainable long term future for both fish and fishing. They are committed to offering sustainable fish and building long-lasting relationships with customers. They buy daily from local fisherman and from the fish markets of Glasgow, Peterhead and Aberdeen. In response to the current outbreak of COVID-19, Pieroni’s  have launched an online shop and community home delivery service to reach those who are at home in need of food supplies.
 

Mor Fresh, Ceredigion, Wales
A shellfisherman from Cardigan Bay, Chris runs, Mor Fresh, a family fishing business in Cardigan Bay. They are proud to produce and supply wonderful shellfish from Cardigan Bay via their  boat Celtic Sunrise based in New Quay. A family owned business, they are proud to  offer dressed crab, prawns and lobster, freshly packaged and sold direct to the people of Ceredigion.
 
 
 

Osborne’s Fishmonger & Seafood Hall, Leigh on Sea, Essex, England
Starting life as a cafe, cooking and selling cockles caught by the local fleet, Osborne’s now provides a range of seafood, not forgetting the cockles and whelks fresh off the boat! They try to ensure our fish and shellfish is caught in a sustainable manner and their stock is caught by small independent day boats who fish inshore for their catch, where possible. In addition to their extensive range of wet fish and shellfish, they also offer artisan smoked fish products, BBQ ready marinated kebabs and fish as well as a range of rubs, oils, flavourings and complementary products to really make your meals sing.
